Soccer Game Preview: East Laurens vs. Northeast

The East Laurens Falcons will face off against the Northeast Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Laurens' last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

East Laurens' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They skirted past Dodge County 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Falcons were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Northeast came up short against Jefferson County two weeks ago, falling 4-1. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Furaha Safi, who's now up to six this season.

East Laurens is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
