Softball Recap: West Delaware Comes Up Short

West Delaware was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Williamsburg Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hawks have suffered since July 2, 2025.

West Delaware's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Williamsburg, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. West Delaware will face off against Independence at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamsburg, they will venture away from home to square off against Van Meter at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
