Basketball Recap: Cedar Creek Comes Up Short

Cedar Creek suffered their biggest defeat since February 23rd on Friday. They had to suffer through a 71-40 loss at the hands of the Quitman Wolverines. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Cedar Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Quitman, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing West Ouachita the next time they take the court. Cedar Creek will head out to face West Ouachita at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th, while Quitman will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
