Liberty came tearing into Friday's game with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pittsburg Pirates by a score of 71-60. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 88-56 back in December of 2024.

Liberty's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Pittsburg, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Liberty Lions duke it out with the Antioch Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pittsburg, they and Las Lomas will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Las Lomas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
