Baseball Recap: Bountiful Comes Up Short

Bountiful lost against Uintah back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The RedHawks fell just short of the Utes by a score of 6-5.

Bountiful got a good showing from Christopher Suarez, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Suarez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Joshua Haslam made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Tait Caldwell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Bountiful's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Uintah, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.

Bountiful wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Roy on the 7th. As for Uintah, they will face off against Payson at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
