Gryffin Cappellano made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Vincenzo Fick was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Luke Manwiller was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Oley Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Bishop McDevitt posted their closest win since April 7th on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Gettysburg 6-5.
Bishop McDevitt saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Boone, who went 2-for-6 with two doubles and two RBI.
Bishop McDevitt now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Oley Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
Bishop McDevitt's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Oley Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332.
