Basketball Recap: Smiths Station Takes a Loss

Smiths Station lost against Central last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Smiths Station Panthers were beaten by the Central Red Devils 87-46. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Red Devils are ranked third).

Smiths Station has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Smiths Station nor Central have any future games scheduled.
