Baseball Game Preview: Boulder Panthers vs. Mountain Pointe Pride

The Boulder Panthers will take on the Mountain Pointe Pride at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Boulder will be strutting in after a win while Mountain Pointe will be coming in after a loss.

Boulder's tournament run continued when they took on Emmett on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Huskies. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Kai Paradise looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sam Skubic, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Finn Torvik was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pointe fell victim to Arizona College Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 9-0. The Pride have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Boulder now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Mountain Pointe, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Mountain Pointe's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boulder hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333.
