Baseball Recap: Alliance Takes a Loss

Alliance entered their match against Canton Central Catholic on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Aviators took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. The Aviators were not able to make up for their loss to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Alliance saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lincoln Reese, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Brady White was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Alliance and nudges their season record down to 6-2. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Canton Central Catholic, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alliance will challenge Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canton Central Catholic, they will take on Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
