Game recap: Frontier High School Football Team defeats Stockdale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Frontier (Bakersfield, Calif.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as Justin Cash ran for a touchdown with with 8:00 remaining in the third quarter, bringing the team to victory over Stockdale (Bakersfield, Calif.) 42-21.

The teams went into the locker room at halftime deadlocked at 14. The Titans took the lead for good on a Cash touchdown run in the third quarter.

Cash stood out for Frontier in the win. The senior wide receiver ran for four touchdowns. He has now scored 12 touchdowns on the season.

D.J. Martin made a difference for the Mustangs. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to 22 on the year.

FHS got revenge for last year's 21-14 loss to Stockdale with the victory.



The defeat comes as a step back for Stockdale, which notched a 35-17 victory over Liberty in its previous outing.

Frontier (6-3) goes up against Independence in a Southwest Yosemite game matchup next week, while Stockdale (5-4) locks horns with Bakersfield also in a Southwest Yosemite game.
