Basketball Recap: The Stonehaven School Takes a Loss

The Stonehaven School lost against Cornerstone Prep Academy back in October and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Stonehaven School Knights were outmatched by Cornerstone Prep Academy and fell 78-19. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Cornerstone Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Seth Bledsoe led the charge by going 6 of 11 on his way to 13 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Simeon Greene, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for The Stonehaven School and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.

The Stonehaven School will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fulton Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Hearts Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
