Soccer Game Preview: Davidson vs. Dobyns-Bennett

The Davidson Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Dobyns-Bennett Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Davidson and McGill-Toolen had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Davidson walked away with a 3-1 victory over McGill-Toolen on Friday.

Meanwhile, Dobyns-Bennett kept a clean sheet against Daniel Boone on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Trailblazers with a sharp 4-0 win. That looming 4-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.

They hit Daniel Boone with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gavin Farmer (2), Benjamin Gillen-Hamer, and Abijah Powers.

Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-2. As for Dobyns-Bennett, their win bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Davidson suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Dobyns-Bennett when the teams last played back in April of 2018. Can Davidson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
