Softball Recap: Southern Aroostook Warriors vs. Fort Fairfield Tigers        
        
		
            
 Southern Aroostook had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 1 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  23-1 margin over the Fort Fairfield Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southern Aroostook also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2023.
  Olivia Ellingwood made a big impact no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits (and only one walk). Ellingwood was also big at the plate,  scoring four  runs while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Skyla Lewis was  incredible,  going 4-for-4 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and two  doubles.  Madison Shields was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Southern Aroostook's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Fort Fairfield, their defeat was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Aroostook will  square off against Washburn at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Fort Fairfield, they will head out on the road to  take on  Hodgdon at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
