Basketball Recap: Jari Ford and Amos Jones Secure Win for Georgetown

Georgetown won the last time they faced Hanahan and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Georgetown Bulldogs blew past the Hanahan Hawks 67-42. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 52-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks cut but never quite recovered from.

Georgetown was led to victory by Amos Jones and Jari Ford. Jones posted 15 points, while Ford had 15 points. That's the most points Ford has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Mitchell, who earned seven points.

The win made it two in a row for Georgetown and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Hanahan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Georgetown and Richland Northeast will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Georgetown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.8 points per game this season. As for Hanahan, they will be taking part in a tournament against Ragin Prep Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
