After losing to Chittenango the last time they met, Cortland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Purple Tigers took down the Bears 59-43 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Purple Tigers.

Cortland had a senior duo take command as Owen Johnson shot 45% from the field on his way to 14 points and five steals and Iniko Abani went 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zach Muir, who posted eight points.

Cortland's win bumped their record up to 2-0.
