Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kaitlyn Cooper and Kierston Rozell

Meadow Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount View Golden Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 44-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Meadow Bridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kierston Rozell, who went 7 of 11 en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and three steals, and Kaitlyn Cooper, who posted eight points and three steals. Those eight points gave Cooper a new career-high.

Meadow Bridge now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Mount View, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadow Bridge will venture away from home to face off against River View at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount View, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mingo Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th.
