Softball Recap: Mission Bay Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Mission Bay's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bishop's Knights a 4-0 shutout. For the Buccaneers, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Audrey Fernandez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Sage Weiss, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Mission Bay has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop's fell to 3-1-1.

Mission Bay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 win against Central on the 15th. As for Bishop's, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-4 victory against Canyon Crest Academy on the 15th.
