Baseball Recap: Albany Triumphs

Albany never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen by a score of 5-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Seamas LeBuis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. LeBuis was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Andrew Prim was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Gavin Cramer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Albany now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Guilderland, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Albany will square off against Saranac at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Guilderland, they will challenge Shaker at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. The Bison will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Flying Dutchmen surely won't give up without a fight.
