Preview: Douglas Patriots vs. Rapid City Central Cobblers

The Douglas Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Rapid City Central Cobblers at 6:00 p.m. Douglas is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-37, which was the final score in Douglas' tilt against Red Cloud on Saturday. Douglas was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-18.
Meanwhile, Rapid City Central came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 58-40 win over Yankton on Saturday.
Douglas dropped their record down to 2-14 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Rapid City Central, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Douglas took a serious blow against Rapid City Central when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 53-18. Can Douglas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
