Basketball Recap: Coachella Valley Starts Season with Victory Against Desert Hot Springs

Coachella Valley took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They breezed by the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles to the tune of 82-39. The Mighty Arabs pushed the score to 74-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Golden Eagles had no chance of recovering from.

Franky Aguirre had an outrageously good game as he scored 23 points. Albert Sauceda was another key player, posting 15 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coachella Valley will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Packinghouse Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Desert Hot Springs, they will venture away from home to challenge La Quinta at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
