Basketball Game Preview: Falmouth Navigators vs. Scarborough Red Storm

Falmouth hasn't had much luck against Scarborough recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Falmouth Navigators will venture away from home to challenge the Scarborough Red Storm at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Falmouth is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game on Tuesday. They took a blow against Windham, falling 73-19. While losing is never fun, the Navigators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Eagles are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Scarborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 54-23 loss at the hands of Edward Little. The contest marked the Red Storm's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Scarborough's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Falmouth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Falmouth was dealt a bruising 69-25 defeat at the hands of Scarborough when the teams last played back in January. Can Falmouth avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
