Baseball Recap: Bethel Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Packinghouse Christian Academy last Wednesday, Bethel Christian came back down to earth. Bethel Christian lost 9-3 to the Southlands Christian Eagles on Friday.

Tyler Backstrom was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bethel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Southlands Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Bethel Christian will face off against California Lutheran at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethel Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: California Lutheran has averaged an impressive 11.4 runs per game this season. As for Southlands Christian, they will host Fairmont Prep at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
