Basketball Preview: Canyon Lake vs. Wimberley Texans
Canyon Lake is 2-8 against the Texans since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Canyon Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wimberley Texans at 6:15 p.m. Canyon Lake has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
Last Friday, Canyon Lake was beaten by the Greyhounds 80-6. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Canyon Lake has scored all season.
Even though Wimberley has not done well against the Panthers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Wimberley strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 48-32.
Canyon Lake has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season. As for Wimberley, their victory bumped their record up to 21-15.
