Recap: Paulding County Patriots vs. Newnan Cougars
The Paulding County Patriots's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They snuck past Newnan with a 59-54 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Paulding County also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Paulding County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Manigault, who scored 17 points along with five steals. It was the first time this season that Manigault scored 15 or more points. Alexus Wilson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
The win got Paulding County back to even at 13-13. As for Newnan, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.
Paulding County will head out on the road to take on Alexander at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Alexander focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Thursday. Newnan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
