Basketball Recap: Landstown Drops Season-High Score on Ocean Lakes

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Landstown). They blew past the Ocean Lakes Dolphins, posting an 88-26 win. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

Landstown was led to victory by Rashad Shaw and Damien Robinson. Shaw made all 10 shots he took for 21 points along with six assists and five steals, while Robinson went 8 for 14 on his way to 21 points and five steals. Robinson's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Johnson, who posted eight points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Landstown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Landstown is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Ocean Lakes, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Landstown will venture away from home to square off against Kellam at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ocean Lakes, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Great Bridge at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ocean Lakes is facing Great Bridge at the right time seeing as Great Bridge is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
