Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain View Mountain Lions vs. Severance Silver Knights

Mountain View has won four straight games at home, while Severance has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions will welcome the Silver Knights at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Mountain View got the win against Fort Lupton by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-20, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Severance hadn't done well against Stargate School recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Silver Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Eagles.

Severance had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-23.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Severance, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Mountain View might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Severance when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Mountain Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
