Football Game Preview: Clayton Clippers vs. Woodstown Wolverines

The Clayton Clippers will welcome the Woodstown Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Clayton is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of Paulsboro. While losing is never fun, the Clippers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 104th).

Meanwhile, Woodstown fell victim to Glassboro and their airtight defense on Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 47-0 to the Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wolverines have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Clayton's record is now 4-4. As for Woodstown, their record now sits at 3-6.
