Volleyball Recap: Monday's Defeat Ends Amundsen's Winning Streak

Amundsen lost against Lane Tech back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Champions. The Vikings' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15.

Lane Tech can attribute much of their success to Lena Palus, who had six digs and four assists. That's the most assists Palus has posted since back in September.

Amundsen's loss dropped their record down to 14-20. As for Lane Tech, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season.

Amundsen and Lane Tech are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, the Vikings and Northside will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Lane Tech, they will challenge Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
