Volleyball Recap: Mercyhurst Prep Comes Up Short

Mercyhurst Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Middlesex Big Reds. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Big Reds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: West Middlesex scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Mercyhurst Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for West Middlesex, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.

As of now, neither Mercyhurst Prep nor the Big Reds have any future games scheduled.
