Basketball Game Preview: Socorro Bulldogs vs. Pebble Hills Spartans

The Socorro Bulldogs will face off against the Pebble Hills Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pebble Hills took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Socorro, who comes in off a win.

Socorro is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 61-26 victory over Santa Teresa. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Danny Delgado had an outrageously good game as he went 8 for 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kris Fang, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Socorro smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Pebble Hills ended up a good deal behind Roosevelt on Saturday and lost 59-40.

Socorro's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Pebble Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Things could have been worse for Socorro, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-34 loss to Pebble Hills when the teams last played on December 5th.
