Basketball Recap: Mazama Comes Up Short

Mazama lost against Henley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mazama Vikings were beaten by the Henley Hornets 66-19. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Hornets are ranked ninth).

Mazama's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Henley, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.

Looking ahead, Mazama will take on Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Henley, they will challenge Klamath Union at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
