Basketball Recap: Marlow Comes Up Short

Marlow suffered their closest defeat since February 1, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Kingston Redskins by a score of 54-51. The Outlaws were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Redskins apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

Despite the defeat, Marlow saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brody Bishop shot 50% from the field en route to 19 points. Bishop also set a new season-high mark in three-point shooting accuracy with 60%. Another player making a difference was Beckham Bishop, who posted 12 points.

Marlow dropped their record down to 5-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Kingston, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Marlow has already played their next game, a 71-31 win against Atoka on the 9th. As for Kingston, they will head out on the road to square off against Idabel at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
