Basketball Game Preview: Chaminade Eagles vs. Brentwood School Eagles

The Chaminade Eagles and the Brentwood School Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 8:35 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Chaminade sitting on seven straight victories and Brentwood School on three.

Chaminade picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 63-52 win over Northgate.

Chaminade's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brycen Butler, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Koby Nichols, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points.

Chaminade was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northgate only racked up seven assists.

Meanwhile, Brentwood School beat St. Monica 63-51 on Saturday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Mariners are ranked 136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brentwood School is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Chaminade, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.
