Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Alemany Warriors vs. Crespi Celts

The Bishop Alemany Warriors will face off against the Crespi Celts at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Bishop Alemany is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sierra Canyon just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 78-53 to the Trailblazers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Trailblazers are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Crespi lost to Notre Dame (SO) at home by a 71-54 margin on Thursday. The Celts haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Crespi's loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Bishop Alemany, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-6.

Bishop Alemany couldn't quite finish off Crespi in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 and fell 61-58. Can Bishop Alemany avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
