Baseball Recap: Moorefield Comes Up Short

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Moorefield nor Berkeley Springs made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Yellow Jackets fell 7-2 to the Indians. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Yellow Jackets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Moorefield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Berkeley Springs, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-25.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moorefield will venture away from home to square off against Musselman at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Applemen have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Berkeley Springs, they will head out to face off against Keyser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
