Baseball Recap: Bishop Carroll Takes a Loss

Bishop Carroll couldn't beat Somerset on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Huskies lost 16-6 to the Golden Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost seven in a row.

Bishop Carroll saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Conner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Bishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Somerset, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Carroll will face off against Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Somerset, they will take on Penn Cambria at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
