Softball Recap: Freeman Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Isabel Silva and Mckenna Finley

Freeman has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.62 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-6 to the Adna Pirates, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. That makes it the first time this season the Scotties have let down their home crowd.

Mckenna Finley and Isabel Silva did some serious damage despite the final result: Finley went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Silva went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Finley is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Freeman and nudges their season record down to 22-4. As for Adna, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-6.

As of now, neither Freeman nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
