Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the DSST: Montview Knights. The Lancers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Lincoln wouldn't go down easily and took DSST: Montview into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 12-25, 24-26, 15-9.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for DSST: Montview, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Montbello on the 7th. DSST: Montview has also already played their next matchup (against Manual), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
