Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Astronaut

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Astronaut had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cocoa Tigers a 14-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the War Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Riley Miller made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2025. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Arielys Rosado was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Raleigh Edwards, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Astronaut hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive contests.

Astronaut's record is now 14-7. As for Cocoa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Astronaut nor Cocoa have any future games scheduled.
