Basketball Recap: Phillips Comes Up Short

Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 70-61 to the Abbotsford Falcons. The Loggers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 82-66.

Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Abbotsford, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17.

Phillips and Abbotsford could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Loggers will challenge Wabeno/Laona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (401 vs. 178). Meanwhile, Abbotsford (ranked 408th) will meet Prentice (ranked 117th) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
