Recap: Springfield Longhorns vs. Primero Bulldogs

The Springfield Longhorns scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Primero 66-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Springfield also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Springfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Stolebarger out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Leland Gable was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with four steals.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Primero, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield and Boise City will face off at 3:00 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Boise City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 312th in Oklahoma, while Springfield is ranked 145th in Colorado). Primero won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Walsenburg at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th.
