Basketball Recap: West Potomac Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

West Potomac won the last time they faced Fairfax and things went their way on Thursday too. The West Potomac Wolverines walked away with a 59-49 win over the Fairfax Lions. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Despite the loss, Fairfax still got an impressive performance from Cam Yingling, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points and eight boards. What's more, Yingling also posted a 58% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Young, who posted seven points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

West Potomac pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Fairfax, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, West Potomac and Fairfax will both be playing Woodson the next time they take the court. West Potomac will head out to face Woodson at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Fairfax will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
