Softball Recap: Borden Comes Up Short

If Borden was riding high fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Orleans last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Braves fell just short of the West Washington Senators by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday. The Braves have struggled against the Senators recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Alayna Martin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chelbi Condon, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Borden's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for West Washington, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Borden will face off against Henryville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Washington, they will square off against Springs Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
