Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Dade). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Braddock Bulldogs 66-34. The Buccaneers pushed the score to 56-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.
South Dade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justice Sheppard led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Sheppard is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jurnee Walters, who posted 20 points in addition to six boards and five steals.
South Dade was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.
