Baseball Recap: Priory Rebels vs. MICDS Rams
Priory hadn't done well against MICDS recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rebels won by a run and slipped past the Rams 7-6. This was a revenge game for the Rebels: when they faced off against the Rams on Wednesday, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Priory got a great performance from Thomas James as he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. The dominant performance also gave James a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Miles Anstey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Andrew Harrison, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Priory always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as MICDS only posted an OBP of .324.
Priory's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for MICDS, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Priory will challenge Lutheran South at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for MICDS, they will take on Lutheran North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
