Basketball Recap: Henry County Comes Up Short

Henry County was the 57-26 winner over Springfield when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Henry County Patriots fell 49-42 to the Springfield Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taleah Patterson led the charge by going 6 of 13 en route to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Xavionna Farmer, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Henry County now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Springfield, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Henry County will host Waverly Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springfield, they will square off against Dickson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
