Softball Recap: Guilford Comes Up Short

Guilford was the 7-0 winner over Harvard when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings lost 14-4 to the Hornets on Wednesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amiyah Wyrick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Leah Hunter, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Harvard, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Guilford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Durand on the 10th. As for Harvard, they have also already played their next game, a 9-2 defeat against Richmond-Burton on the 10th.
