Basketball Game Preview: Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals vs. Evergreen Park Mustangs

Blue Island Eisenhower and Evergreen Park are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals will be playing at home against the Evergreen Park Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Blue Island Eisenhower lost 60-35 to Naperville North on Saturday. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 71-68 heartbreaker at the hands of De La Salle. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Meteors are ranked 82nd).

Blue Island Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Evergreen Park, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Blue Island Eisenhower beat Evergreen Park 78-69 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Does Blue Island Eisenhower have another victory up their sleeve, or will Evergreen Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
