Baseball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Walnut Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the West Cowboys. The Scots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cowboys earlier this season, when they won 13-6.

Javion Thornton made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Alijah Buchanan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Walnut Ridge's record is now 2-7. As for West, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-5.
