Basketball Recap: Stevenson Takes a Loss

On Wednesday, the Stevenson Patriots were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to the Rolling Meadows Mustangs.

Stevenson's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Atticus Richmond, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 15 boards. With that strong performance, Richmond is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Liam Curtin, who posted ten points and seven boards.

Stevenson's loss dropped their record down to 22-11. As for Rolling Meadows, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 29-4.

Stevenson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rolling Meadows, they have already played their next match, a 73-58 win against Fremd on the 7th.
